I'm addicted....

"I LOVE this tea. I bought it the first time because of all the reviews that said it's like the Aveda tea, and I loved Aveda tea but wasn't willing to pay the price. The only difference I've noticed is that the Aveda tea has a citrus flavor as well, but I like this one just as much. I make this tea almost every day in a Bodium and then after I've had enough and its cold I pour the remainder into an ice tea pitcher in the fridge. It's wonderful iced and naturally sweet. My friends come over and raid the fridge because I've got them hooked on it as well. "

Lovely nonetheless

"Honestly, I was looking for a less expensive version of the Aveda tea when I bought this. I did a side-by-side comparison and the two are nothing alike- but that's not a bad thing! This is a very good cup of tea that is perfectly balanced and lovely to drink. But if you're looking for a copy-cat version of the Aveda tea like I was, this isn't it. But I'm glad I have this because it's absolutely perfect in it's simplicity. "

Too much bite

"Having remembered liking the "Aveda" tea, I decided to give this one a try. Unfortunately this was not to my liking. It tasted just like plain Spearmint tea with sharp after taste, presumably from the Licorice. I'm going to have to try the Aveda tea again b/c I don't remember it tasting like this. "

"When I read the reviews saying this tea was very similar to the Aveda tea I was skeptical, but now that I've tried it, its so close I can barely tell the difference. I'm so happy to find this tea at a fraction of the price of what Aveda sells it for."

Good, but would like more Licorice

"I definitely enjoyed this tea, but did expect it to have more licorice root. I will most likely purchase licorice tea separately to add to this (to balance out the flavor). The licorice is key because it adds the sweet aftertaste that I find so satisfying. Overall, it's still very tasty. "

"I found this after doing extensive searches online to find something similar to the aveda comfort tea. I ordered 1/2 lb and have gone thru it SO quickly i really like it as an iced tea. In fact after drinking this loose-leaf tea I have tried a few of the packets of aveda tea I had remaining and I enjoy this tea SO much more than the aveda tea. And it costs almost half as much. I am ordering more right now!"

Soothing

"My SIL recommended this tea to me by saying it did taste like the Aveda tea. I really like it, but I would recommend only steepig it for 5-7 minutes for a milder taste. After steeping for 10 minutes it had too sweet an after taste. It is a nice relaxing tea that is very soothing and smooth in flavor. Licorice Mint also has a calming aroma."

AVEDA COMFORTING TEA
|

"I fell in love with the Aveda Comforting Tea when I went to get my hair done. I looked to see before buying it who else carried it and discovered reviews on here and ordered this tea to try until I could win the argument with myself to spend $25 on the aveda tea. It's so similar I can't tell the difference! I love it and it has the same lingering sweetness in the mouth as the comforting tea, which was what I bought it for! very pleased!"

"I bought a sampler of this, and I wish I had purchased more! It is wonderful, and yes, it's a LOT like the Aveeda "comfort tea"."

"Used by itself, this herbal tea has a VERY strong licorce taste that coats the throat. Good if you love licorice and have a soart throat, but I prefer to mix just a bit in with my moring black tea for a refreshing minty flavor with a bit of kick."

"i am a singer, and after a long day of singing, nothing soothes the throat better than this tea.. the mint is very soothing and cooling, and the licorice root gives a quite unexplainable feeling to the throat.. you have to try it"

"I am halfway thru the 1/4 lb pouch and will be repurchasing this tea over and over again. It's really good, almost like Aveda Comfort tea but at 1/5th the price. "

A perfect blend.

"This blend has more licorice than most of the licorice-mint teas that I've tried. To my taste, they've got the mix just right. I've experimented with adding and removing licorice bits from this blend, only to discover that there's no way to improve it. It's perfect.

"Got hooked on "reglisse menthe" in France, and found it again at Dragonwater (reglisse=licorice root) This is not the sticky Anise flavor you might associate with the candy, but a very potent natural "sweetener in the mouth" that isn't a sugar. Like a mint coughdrop if you let it steep too long (or if you have cough), but almost a dessert drink when moderately brewed. (Kids love it chilled in the summertime!)"
